Wallet Wonders

You on a budget? Ha I know this girl is!

Until this house gets bought, it will be window shopping and online pinning. Thank goodness I can still squeeze my body into the same clothes I wore when I was 19 (even though they are a tad bit snugger).

I will share with you some cuties from my online favorite, Piperlime (free shipping too)!

ALERT: Get $25 when you spend $75

I threw this in just because it is so adorable (via LOFT)

Paper Passion

I know this will sound like such an uber-freak thing to say but I LOVE paper.... like obsessed. I think the perfect invitation, stationary or design can set mood for the perfect event. And your choice in paper says a lot about you. Let me also throw out there that paper is expensive.... like designer clothes expensive.

Here are some pretties:

Pretty Pictures

Pretty pictures make me happier (maybe that is why I am should be clinically diagnosised with a virus named Pinterest). I just want to share some with you just to make your weekend a little merrier. Happy Weekend!

Black Tuesday

Today was the day. High fashion became affordable. The average woman could now own a piece of the Missoni line.... but not in Atlanta!

Recap of my morning:

I planned out my day based on Target's highly anticipated arrival. I decided to take my lunch and go to the nearest Target. Well yesterday something told me that I should go this morning... call it intuition, call it freaky.

So that is what I did. I got all dressed for work and hightailed it over to my neighborhood Tar-gey. I strolled in at 8:11 (to avoid looking like an uber freak before the workers even arrived), and I stopped in mid-step.

Purses wiped clean, dresses disappeared.... I didn't have the heart to go to the housewares. To top it off, I almost witnessed a Black Friday-esque fight when this crazy lady comes running down the aisle with her buggy piled high with those infamous zig-zags. Women were stalking her, following her around, telling her to get rid of her stash. It was unbelievable.

The sad thing is that eBay is now loaded with this stuff and I bet one of the culprits was the nutcase in aisle three.

Semi fairy tale ending: After the Target website revived itself from mass overload, I finally got a black dress. And my sweet momma picked me up a bag for my work stuff. Yippee!

P.S. - Guys: Imagine the rush if Walmart gave out free beer and flat screens. This is the female version with a more cat-like approach -

I can't believe it has been 10 years! I remember exactly where I was and details of the days following that tragic day.

When I was in New York this past spring, one of our drivers was a New York policeman who was a first responder on 9/11. Many of his friends and colleagues were not fortunate enough to make it home that day. I got chills as we drove by Ground Zero and he told his story.

The reason all this comes to mind is because of some letters that were featured in Glamour (These on the site are not the same as the issue). I read the letters and started silently crying to myself. What would I say to my family, husband or friends that never made it home that day?

One letter was written to a sister, another to a brother, dad and even a fiance. It is just heartbreaking because of the pain and suffering that affected so many.  I complain because some of my days are long or someone is not the nicest that day but I have so much to be thankful for. Stop and be thankful for what you have!

Favorite Time of the Year

I love me some fall.... leaves, breeze, sweaters, boots, campfires, you name it. I know this little tease of cool weather will not last but it gets me excited about the days to come.

Here are some images to maybe give you some fall-like feelings...

Again, I apologize for being MIA lately. Between a new job, this house process and life in general I have been exhausted. We have actually been asleep by 8:30 twice this week. Hopefully I be on top of my blogging game in the days to come!
