I use "finished" lightly. Nothing will ever be finished but one of the guest rooms is looking pretty complete.

Everything in this room is old except the new floral additions made by my sweet momma, which I love.

To live in the South, I couldn't give up my ceiling fan

The bedding was an addition after we got married.

White Beauty

Holy Moly! Look at these gorgeous shots of another Atlanta house!

I love looking at Atlanta real estate because most of these mega-mansions were designed by some well-known interior decorators. It is like flipping through Architectural Digest without the price tag.

This is not one of your usual mega-mansions but it has quite the Southern charm.

Love the masculine/feminine feel of this room

Gorgeous sitting room

I could cook in here any day

The door, marble, tiled mirror, lucite - LOVE

The best part to me is this porch; a definite morning coffee spot

Life lately

- First off, congrats to my sweet friend Cameron and Joseph on the birth of their baby boy, Wells. I can't wait to see that precious face in person!-

Work has finally calmed down... we are slowly getting settled in the house... life is good.

After scouring Atlanta, we found a kiddie pool for the heat-hating bullies.

Winnie loves to dunk her entire head in to bob for grass. Again she is not normal

We also have several neighbors. This is a horrible pictures of the owls but he was not fond of a photo session

On another note, we are going sailing next week and I haven't even thought about packing... I work better with a well thought-out packing list.

And... after a lot of thought, I am not going to run in this year's Peachtree Road Race. I have been too busy and too stressed to train and that is not fair to me or the other runners. Signing up I had the best intentions, but buying a house got the best of me. Here's to next year!

Scuba Steve

- No I am not talking about the Big Daddy movie reference, I just couldn't think of a better title -

We had a jam-packed weekend, which started off with a early present for Aaron.

This is what he opened on Friday night and he figured out his adventure prepared for the next day.

Getting ready to go dive in the Ocean Explorer tank at the Georgia Aquarium

My mom, dad and I waited in the tunnel for the dive group to head our way.

I also want to point out that if you are friends/family of the diver, they have a special guide that will push you in front of the crowd. Needless to say, we got some very rude stares as we were paraded to a watching point.

The dive group in front of the glass wall and auditorium area.

I got to take some pictures of Aaron through the glass (and we got to see how thick that glass is; think 2 feet thick)

You can see one of the four whale sharks in the top left corner of this picture. There was one moment (which of course I did not capture on camera) that a whale shark passed directly over Aaron.

After the dive, we got to go on a behind the scenes tour of another exhibit. The solar lights help the coral grow and the water buckets mimic a real ocean current.

This is the top of the Ocean Voyager tank... the size of a football field

After a great dinner at our favorite restaurant, South City Kitchen, we enjoyed birthday cake. WARNING - Ignore the horrible floral backsplash, that is on our kitchen redo list

I, of course, found this quote on Pinterest and I LOVE it. I have been so busy with work lately that I haven't really taken the time to enjoy things. Well this weekend is going to be a super fun, early celebration of Aaron's birthday!

Have a great one!

I'm back! I know y'all missed me (cough, cough). I had my largest event this past week and it went great! Of course there were a few hiccups but all my planning paid off... it pays to be a little OCD.

I did, however, get the recommended 14 hours of sleep the night I returned.

Anyways... I am sporting my new Bauble Bar necklace today and it is divine.

This site is amazing, y'all. You have been warned.

On another note, my sweet hubs got me this for my birthday. Isn't he the bestest?

Birthday - palooza

Here's to a relaxing weekend Saturday with the Hubs and pups! I will be back to work on Sunday, preparing for my big event.

Back to the real world in a week!

FYI - In our little family of four we celebrate paloozas... so this week was Julie-palooza. Aaron seems to get two weeks for some reason :)
