- No I am not talking about the Big Daddy movie reference, I just couldn't think of a better title -
We had a jam-packed weekend, which started off with a early present for Aaron.
This is what he opened on Friday night and he figured out his adventure prepared for the next day.
Getting ready to go dive in the Ocean Explorer tank at the Georgia Aquarium
My mom, dad and I waited in the tunnel for the dive group to head our way.
I also want to point out that if you are friends/family of the diver, they have a special guide that will push you in front of the crowd. Needless to say, we got some very rude stares as we were paraded to a watching point.
The dive group in front of the glass wall and auditorium area.
I got to take some pictures of Aaron through the glass (and we got to see how thick that glass is; think 2 feet thick)
You can see one of the four whale sharks in the top left corner of this picture. There was one moment (which of course I did not capture on camera) that a whale shark passed directly over Aaron.
After the dive, we got to go on a behind the scenes tour of another exhibit. The solar lights help the coral grow and the water buckets mimic a real ocean current.
This is the top of the Ocean Voyager tank... the size of a football field
After a great dinner at our favorite restaurant, South City Kitchen, we enjoyed birthday cake. WARNING - Ignore the horrible floral backsplash, that is on our kitchen redo list
