Etsy love

Etsy has just about everything.

The search form and results page kinda bugs me but otherwise this is a great site. And, there are some great party planning resources that have just recently popped up.
I am loving Ginger Jars these days

I just ordered this beauty from this Birmingham jewelry maker. Perfect ring for a day in the water when I am feeling protective of my wedding ring or when I don't want a shark to attack something sparkly. Hey, it could happen!

This are perfect for my next get together

I love this for our downstairs.

Atlanta Real Estate

I will leave you with a pretty piece of property before the holiday weekend.

For you Atlanta peeps, this property is off Northside Drive in Buckhead; massive doesn't begin to describe this property.

There is a lake or four thrown in as well

If I lived here, there would be a furniture dilemma.... what do you put in the circular room?

 I could work here...

Do you really need this much wine?

I will take the guest house please.

Catching up!

I have been an awful sketchy blogger and it will only get worse. My biggest work event of the year is coming up in less than two weeks and until then I will be immersed in emails, spreadsheets and meetings.

Anyways, we have been super busy on house work and have had barely any time to relax. We have added some more outdoor items, hung more pictures, working on adding ceiling fans and my sweet mom has been sewing away. Updates to come.

This is my lunch break, spending time at Home Goods
FYI Atlantans - the Perimeter store is way better than Buckhead.

 My garden has hydrangeas. Yay!

Finally got all our china in the cabinet. It was the first time I had seen my fine china since our wedding almost two years ago. That is what happens when you have too much stuff and not enough room.

Most of you have probably already seen this but I had to capture this RARE moment. Winnie and Winston sitting calmly for literally 35 seconds; then it was back to biting, jumping and running. You learn to savor the small things.

Aaron and I also channeled our inner 20 year old and went to the Dave Matthews Band concert on Tuesday night. That meant about 5 hours of sleep and a new found respect for parents these days. I saw more belly shirts than a Britney Spears circa 1999 music video. I think next year we splurge for the good seats!

Sautéed Mushroom Orzo with Cheese

We had this recipe the other night and was yummy... very cheesy but a great side dish.

Wanting!

I want a Lulie...

No I am not crazy. This is a real thing.

I have seen several pieces of Lulie Wallace floating over the web but after fellow blogger, The Good Stuff, got a commissioned painting I have been wanting one... like real bad.

First Up: Deck

Our first "completed" part of the house is the deck. I use completed lightly because there are still some items we want to get like a dining set and umbrellas. But I am too excited not to share.

Aaron and I love sitting outside. Some of the best memories I have are of the both of us sitting on my front porch in college, spending time with friends. Needless to say, when three separate contractors told us   NOT to step foot on the deck, we knew it was a must fix.

BEFORE
(note the house is not this color anymore which is a whole other story)

Eww is all I have to say.

This thing was not even connected to its supports

AFTER
This was mid-build last week.

Almost there...

Finished product!

The deck was a little dirty after the rain but you get the idea

So excited to have my herb planter back.

Online Shopping

Online shopping is bad news. It is so easy to find so many cute things, whether it be for the house or you. It may or may not be evolving into a problem.

Here is some awesomeness I have been loving:

Pottery Barn Chandelier - perfect for our kitchen

Pottery Barn Dresser Tray - a great keeper for all your jewelry

Cutest Pens Ever

A deck post will be coming next week because it is done! Woohoo!
