Weekend

I had full intentions of completing the hallway trim with a nice coat of glossy white... that didn't happen.

However, we had a lovely dinner at Tin Can, in the burbs, where we are known to get the redneck bucket of PBR (hey it is a nice cap-off of a long week).

Then I went to heaven. Okay not really heaven just a brightly colored mecca of awesomeness, C. Wonder

I contemplated being one of the first 100 in line to get a gift card but I couldn't garner the strength on a Saturday. But seriously, this is a great store for gifts, clothes and fun stuff!
Splurged on a gold bracelet (looks mighty similar to the Cartier LOVE bracelet I am dying for) and this precious ikat bowl. The canvas bag was a freebie.

To give you the complete boring details of our life we hit up the local Applebee's. I know you are jealous of our mad nightlife skills.

Sunday consisted of Aaron doing yard work and fitting in the time to kill a Copperhead in the yard. Yep, it was gross.

Then we had a neighborly dinner and I brought Tomato-Watermelon Salad and an ice cream sandwich cake :)

Hope yours was great too :)

The Office

So I used to hate The Office on NBC. I truly did not think it was funny. Then I joined the real world and saw the humor in this not-so-typical office environment.

Well a little piece of The Williams' Thursday night TV line-up died yesterday with the announcement that this will be the final season of the show. What are we to do you may ask? Well we have TBS that airs it every night, two episodes at a time.

If you don't watch the show, you won't get it but here are some Dwight-isms:

Family Room

Now for the family room reveal. The main change in here is new carpet and a fresh coat of paint. It truly is a wonder what a $30 can of paint can do for a space.

There are still a few additions we want to include but as we know by now, that comes with time.

To-do

Are you like me and have countless of to-do lists? I may or may not have six post-its at work, two lists on the kitchen counter and three virtual lists on my phone. It is a problem.

Thanks to my BFF Pinterest, in comes MayBooks. I haven't yet taken the plunge but a purchase is in my foreseeable future.

These bad boys range from $17-20 each and the number of patterns are endless. I am leaning towards the notebook style for all my lists but they offer everything from academic calendar to a baby bump diary.

This is the one I am eying. I am a sucker for Ikat.

Foyer Update

So I realized I had a major fail when I didn't post "Before" pictures of our other house updates. So the deck and guest bedroom posts are updated now.

For the hallway redo, we found an amazing paint deal on Groupon and broke down for a professional painter. This was also due to the fact that a two story stairwell was not going to be an easy feat.

Wednesday Words

I thought this was fitting considering we spend last weekend in Destin with amazing friends and my 2nd Annual Girls reunion starts on Friday. I couldn't be happier.

I miss our friends desperately but weekends like these are worth waiting for.

Pre, pre-fall

With 97 degree temps I can't imagine donning a sweater, but I am ready for some fall. From the looks of it, fall fashion will be a good one.
