Love.

WARNING: The blog is about to get deep....

Life has put a lot in perspective these last few days.

With Valentine's Day stalking me at ever corner I am bombarded with the word "love." I think this year I have a new perspective on this holiday and may forever will.

I love my hubs more than anything and don't know what I would do without him, but this greeting card holiday should stretch farther than that. Recent events have made me step back and realize how valuable all the people in my life are to me. I may not talk or see them everyday, but I know I have an amazing family, in-laws and friends.

So for all of my "love" people I want to say thank you and love you too!

I pinkie promise to be back next week with some fun stuff :)

Alive!

Sorry... turned into a sketch again. We got back from an amazing trip with my family to NYC and of course I caught the bug that has been going around. I never get sick and it just so happened to appear in the blistery Big Apple. Promise - pics to come.

Anyways, Aaron and I usually do small Valentine's gifts. My favorite is just a home cooked meal and a nice glass of wine. Even though we do something small, I thought I could share a few possibilities.

Life Lately

Life has been crazy lately. From the new year to football games, we have been all over the place these last few days. Here are some pictures to share with y'all (and in no particular order):

The pups rang in the New Year in style.

Last week my company had their Sales Annual event in downtown Atlanta. So those long days meant some quality time at the downtown Omni hotel for the week. (Meanwhile the hubs was supporting the Tide on their 3rd National Championship in 4 years)

We got a visit from the Dr. himself, Shaq. The man did not disappoint... he was hilarious!

We finally got our picture back from the framers. It is absolutely gorgeous and the best gift ever, via the uber-talented Dad.

Matchbox 20 also performed for our company event and it seems I still knew every word. This 90s band still has it!

With leftover fabric from some re-upholstery I am wanting to make some ottomans. Scott's Antique Market gave me some DIY inspiration.

Our company also rented out the entire aquarium for a networking event. The octupus was a ham for the camera.

Now I am off to Detroit (but staying in Canada). Long story - don't ask.

Low-country Love

And we're back! But not for long. I am about to be a busy bee but I will be sure to bring you updates as I live in a hotel in Atlanta (yep the city I reside in), fly to Detroit/Canada and take a trip to the Big Apple. I know great stories will come from these cryptic trip descriptions.

Today I want to share the 2013 HGTV Dream Home, aka a dream vacay home. I have never been to South Carolina as crazy as that sounds but I am seeing a three-day weekend in my future. HGTV is giving away a stunner on Kiawah Island. I can picture a stellar friend getaway or quiet couple trip, but any time spent here would sure be amazing.

FYI - If you read this, sign up and actually win the house... stipulations say I get to be the first house guest. Just saying!
