Mary Tilman: 6 Month Update

How has it been 6 months? Each month continues to become my favorite although it makes me sad how big you are getting!

Weight: I am guessing a 16 pounder (we will find out at your doctor's appt. in 2 weeks)

Height: Long as your clothes are indicating to use (I commented this morning that I need to buy you some more in-between season clothes until you can wear all your precious spring/summer outfits)

Sleep: Bless you child and your great sleeping habits. It could be thanks to me being the crazy schedule mom or just because you are awesome. Either way, I love it. The best is that you can talk yourself to sleep and are perfectly content to carry on some stellar conversations in the morning as your dad and I drag ourselves out of bed.

Clothes/Diapers: 6 month clothes but moving rapidly to 9 months; We are finishing up the end of our size 2 diaper stash and then moving you up to size 3

Diet: Still solely milk but with the addition of solids! You have been amazing eater as we have tried carrots, green beans and sweet potatoes. You are not a lover of the green beans but I don't blame you (they look gross). We were lucky enough to be gifted a Beaba food cooker and it is amazing! You only mess up one dish and can truly leave it and forget it.

Favorite Gear: Exersaucer (or this may be my favorite to keep you contained for 2 minutes), Stacking toys, books (although you prefer to eat rather than read them)

Milestones/Firsts: You learned to sit the day after your 5 month birthday and have been sitting ever since. I loved seeing you so happy but it makes me sad how big you are getting. You are also dubbed "Chatty Cathy" as you seem to be having full-on baby talk conversations. Sadly, you also got your first fever and it was terrifying! We were those parents calling the doctor on call only to be told it was just teething.

Likes: Your bulldogs, sitting up, airplane, being outside, water (bath time is a fav. still), your thumb

Dislikes: Changing into your pajamas, extended car rides (we now have to make sure you have a full tummy and a little tired after last weekend's horrific ride back to Alabama).
